Installation of Snap band Pleated Dust Bags

1. Remove the old bags and cages from the collector. The clean air plenum should be thoroughly cleaned after removing the used bags and cages. Clean the top surface and inside surface of the tube sheet hole so the snap band will seal on a clean, smooth metal surface. Remove any sharp edges prior to installing the pleated dust bags.

2. Install the snap band: with the snap band held against one side of the tube sheet hole, pinch the snap band in the center to form a “figure 8”. (The hem of the snap band should be below the tube sheet.)
3. Slowly release the snap band and allow it to expand to fit the tube sheet hole. Ensure that the snap band is fully expanded and that there are no bumps or creases in the snap band.
4. Slowly lower the pleated dust bag through the tube sheet. Be sure to protect the filter media when handling.
5. Press down on the pleated dust bag until the metal top of the filter is fully seated with the snap band.
